We will forgive you if you think the Super Bowl is the biggest beer holiday in the United States.
It's not. Super Bowl Sunday is the seventh most popular beer ''holiday'' in the country. Just a single event on a single day, it can't begin to match the statistics for other big-time beer holidays that fall during warmer weather and stretch over three-day weekends, like Memorial Day, Labor Day and the Fourth of July.
But beer's still plenty big at Super Bowl parties, particularly because it goes so well with football fare like chili, hot wings, chips and dips.

OSU fans take sides on ticket issue
The school's decision not to sell single-game Bedlam football tickets generates fan debates.
OSU's season-ticket plan for the 2008 football season was met with mixed reviews by fans Tuesday.
OSU has decided not to sell single-game Bedlam tickets for the Nov. 29 game at Boone Pickens Stadium. Instead, to witness the game, fans must be season-ticket holders.
A basic season ticket, which includes seven home games, is priced at $419.
Zack Livingston, a 1996 OSU graduate, plans to move to the Tulsa area this summer from Kansas City. He is excited about purchasing Cowboys season tickets and is looking at buying a Family Fun Zone package in the stadium's newly expanded west end zone. Livingston's excitement, though, is not universal with the Cowboys' fan base.
IDs released on two ice-related deaths; Knox on 2-hour delay
A City of Knoxville salt truck traveling west on Neyland Drive Tuesday morning flipped over spilling the salt mixture on the south side of the road blocking both eastbound lanes of traffic. The driver who refused to give his name told his supervisor on the scene, "I just lost control." .
