Racist displays persist at Minn. college

Bisharo Iman hoped college in St. Cloud would be different than attending high school there - no more taunts of "Go back to your country" aimed at her Somali dress, no more being slammed into lockers.

"I did get away from it - for a while," said Iman, a junior business major at St. Cloud State University.

That was before a frightening six-week stretch in November and December when vandals carved or scrawled more than a dozen swastikas and other racist images on campus walls, elevators and bathroom stalls.

The spate came as a setback to this central Minnesota university, which has spent more than $1 million, thousands of hours and untold energy in recent years trying to undo its reputation as hostile toward racial and ethnic minorities, an image so entrenched that some refer to the surrounding town as "White Cloud."

"Do I groan and say, 'Goodness, not again?' Of course I do," said Earl Potter, president of the school situated in a quiet, overwhelmingly white city of about 60,000 on the Mississippi River that has seen an influx of Somali immigrants.

If the Pats win, are they the best team ever? Maybe ...

Forty-two of the 46 winners of the Associated Press NFL MVP award have been either quarterbacks or running backs. Into this breach each year steps the Tuesday Morning Quarterback Non-QB Non-RB NFL MVP Award -- see the 2007 winner below. But first, the Super Bowl. Let's ask what seem to be the two big questions about the upcoming game. First, if New England wins, are these Patriots the best team ever? Second, if the Giants win, will that constitute the greatest upset ever?

If New England wins, the Patriots will not be the greatest team ever -- at least conditionally, until such time as the NFL reveals what was in the Patriots' cheating videos and documents that the league destroyed in September. Maybe once we know the full truth, then a 19-0 Patriots team could be considered the greatest, depending on what the full truth turns out to be.

'Last' man creates different world on 'Lost'

Everything is still sort of in flux, sadly, but I know I'm disappointed," says Vaughan, who was a fan of the show before "Lost" producer and fellow "comic book geek" Damon Lindelof approached him to write for it. "I think these eight episodes are eight of the best in the entire series."

As production remains shut down both on "Lost" and the film adaptation of "Y: The Last Man," Vaughan considers himself fortunate. Comic books aren't covered by the Writer's Guild of America, allowing him to continue to work while his colleagues cannot.

Despite the accolades and opportunities, Vaughan sees his growth, both personally and professionally, as very much a work in progress.

SAG award Winner list and Is Angelina Jolie Pregnant?

[Best Syndication] The Screen Actors Guild award ceremony was all about the designer gowns and Angelina Jolie wore a lose fitting flowing dress that could be covering up a pregnancy.

At least that was what everyone is talking about that she could be pregnant and is hiding it. Remember not to recently when Jennifer Lopez wore clothes to conceal her pregnancy, until you couldn't help but say yup, she's pregnant.

At this point it is only rumors that Angelina Jolie is pregnant. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie had plenty of public displays of affection at the SAG awards.

Clinton Allies May Dump Millions Into Anti-Obama Group

MANCHESTER, N.H. — A panicked and cash-short Clinton campaign is seriously considering giving up on the Nevada caucuses and on the South Carolina primary in order to regroup and to save resources for the massive 19-state mega-primary on February 5.

At the same time, some top independent expenditure groups supporting Clinton have been exploring the creation of an anti-Obama "527 committee" that would take unlimited contributions from a few of Clinton's super-rich backers and from a handful of unions to finance television ads and direct mail designed to tarnish the Illinois Senator's image.

The Clinton campaign has raised over $100 million, but has "only" $15 to $20 million left. It faces donor reluctance to give more in the face of the Iowa defeat and the prospect of a second loss in New Hampshire today.
