Super Bowl Snap Judgments
My own personal list of NFL players who can produce those simultaneously is probably a lot shorter than you might think. You could count them on two hands. I actually find myself agreeing with what Moss says most times, and there's something about the way he phrases things that consistently makes me laugh. Like the way he famously summed up Minnesota's humiliating 41-0 loss to the Giants in the 2000 NFC title game: "Man, 41 to doughnut. I don't know if I've ever been a part of something like 41 to doughnut.'' So with Tuesday being Super Bowl media day, I naturally made a bee-line to Moss's podium at the beginning of the Patriots' hour-long interview session. This was a moment nearly 10 years in the making for Moss, and I couldn't wait to hear his perspective on his long, strange trip to the NFL's grandest stage.
SIXFIELDS SLUMP HURTS BOND
We prepare the players as best we can and they go out and do their jobs. "Tonight, we didn't do the basic stuff anywhere near as well as we did against Gillingham and, to a degree, there is only so much you can do. It was the same set of players that did their jobs against Gillingham that didn't do their jobs as well tonight. There is only so much I can do and I feel really hurt about that." Bond was left to rue seeing Cherries concede "poor goals at bad times" as they failed to improve their desperate plight in the League One relegation zone. Cobblers boss Stuart Gray, who was interviewed and overlooked for the Cherries job in favour of Bond, told the Daily Echo: "Kevin and myself have both got a budget to work to and I don't think either of us has got the biggest in the league.
Subdivision proposed for old OSCVI site
A 60-lot subdivision of mostly single-storey brick townhouses is what local developer Barry Kruisselbrink has planned for the former OSCVI property. The 6.5-acre site just off 10th Street East just east of Owen Sound's downtown has been a vacant field since the former high school was levelled in 1999. Barry's Construction and Insulation Ltd., owned by Kruisselbrink, has submitted a draft plan of the subdivision to city hall, along with an application to change zoning from institutional to residential. A public meeting is to be held Feb. 11 at 7:30 p.m. at city hall before the applications are considered by council. Kruisselbrink said if all approvals are granted, he hopes to begin servicing work in the summer or fall and building homes by the following spring.
Blog Posts related to Intellectual Property
But now, as search engines become more specialized and capable, certain copyright owners have become increasingly dissatisfied with the notice-and-takedown bargain struck in the DMCA. That's what these lawsuits are really about -- the defendants are complying with the letter of the law, but copyright owners are now trying to change the rules in court. Of course, the SeeqPod case may settle (as a similar case brought by Warner against iMeem did). But the copyright issues will not be going away anytime soon (in particular, keep your eye on the remand in the Perfect 10 v. Google case, where the DMCA safe harbor issues may take center stage).
